ABOUT THE ROLE

For an internet relaunch project at a leading European financial institution, we are looking for an experienced Fullstack Software Engineer to support the development and operation of modern, customer-facing applications. You will work in a cloud-based, enterprise environment, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications. The role combines frontend and backend development, as well as DevOps and application support responsibilities, within an Agile delivery setup.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack applications using Java (backend) and React/JavaScript (frontend)

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices

• Support application deployment, operation, and monitoring in a DevOps setup

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes

• Create and execute test cases (manual and automated) to ensure software quality

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues

• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders

• Ensure best practices in performance, security, and maintainability

• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience in Java (backend development)

• Solid experience with JavaScript and React

• Experience with DevOps and application support (Applikationsbetreuung)

• Experience in test case creation, including manual and automated testing

• Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture

• Experience working in Agile environments

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and in a team

• Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.
