ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Native / Fullstack Developer responsible for designing, developing, extending, and maintaining cloud-based applications and services running on AWS. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and reliable product solutions, combining strong backend development skills with frontend capabilities and cloud-native expertise.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can work across the full application lifecycle — from implementing business features and APIs to configuring AWS services, supporting CI/CD pipelines, improving system performance, and contributing to cloud architecture decisions.

The role has an estimated focus split of:

• 70% Application Development

  • Backend business logic implementation

  • API development and feature delivery

  • Frontend adjustments and modern web application development

  • Testing, debugging, performance optimisation, and maintenance

  • Technical documentation and agile delivery

• 30% Cloud Platform / DevOps / Architecture Enablement

  • AWS cloud architecture implementation

  • Integration and configuration of AWS services

  • Infrastructure-as-Code development (AWS CDK preferred)

  • CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation

  • Security, authentication, and operational support

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and services on the AWS platform.

• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and business logic using modern development practices.

• Develop frontend components and adjustments for web applications, primarily using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.

• Build and integrate serverless solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and Cognito.

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using AWS CDK or similar technologies.

• Configure and improve CI/CD pipelines, including automated build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms using OAuth and AWS identity services.

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, static code analysis, and contribute to quality assurance activities.

• Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve application issues, including bug fixing and performance optimisation.

• Support operational activities for cloud-based applications and ensure system reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, including sprint planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Create and maintain technical specifications, architecture documentation, and system documentation.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and cloud architecture standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-have skills and experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing customer-facing or enterprise cloud applications.

• Strong experience with AWS cloud application development and cloud-native architectures.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including:

  • AWS Lambda

  • Amazon API Gateway

  • Amazon S3

  • Amazon DynamoDB

  • Amazon Cognito

• Strong backend development experience, including business logic implementation and API development.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC):

  • AWS CDK experience is preferred.

  • Strong Terraform experience combined with TypeScript is also considered relevant.

• Experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Knowledge of secure authentication and authorisation concepts, including OAuth.

• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and static code analysis.

• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising cloud-based applications.

• Experience working in agile delivery environments (Scrum, Jira, sprint planning, refinements, reviews).

• Ability to create technical documentation and system specifications.

• Experience working on enterprise-scale or globally used applications.

• Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.

Nice-to-have skills

• Frontend development experience with:

• Experience developing modern web applications and responsive frontend solutions.

• Experience with AWS serverless architectures.

• Experience with data integration between internal and external enterprise systems.

• Experience in automotive or manufacturing domains.

• Familiarity with Confluence and enterprise documentation standards.

• Experience working with large-scale international cloud products.
