ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a skilled Backend Software Developer to join an international team working on cutting-edge automotive connectivity solutions. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of services that enable data exchange between connected vehicle backends and external partners. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring robust, scalable software within a modern cloud-based architecture, supporting a leading automotive innovator.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services that facilitate data access from connected vehicle systems

• Enhance and maintain the existing infrastructure hosted in Azure

• Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and secure deployments

• Implement robust, scalable integrations using technologies like Kafka, Azure Service Bus, and REST APIs

• Contribute to system observability through tracing and monitoring solutions

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams during quarterly Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions in Stuttgart

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend development

• Practical experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

• Familiarity with Kafka, Azure Service Bus, and REST API design and development

• Experience with tracing and monitoring tools for distributed systems

• Ability to quickly grasp domain-specific concepts and apply them effectively

• Excellent German language skills (project communication is in German)

• Willingness to travel to Stuttgart every three months for PI Planning
