ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Event Manager to join our team on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). The role will begin with a trial period, with the aim of transitioning into a long-term collaboration. In this position, you will take ownership of the planning, execution, and success measurement of a wide range of events – from trade fairs and sponsorships to executive-level meetings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with our event process while developing new event concepts and formats.
Act as project lead for diverse event types, including sponsorship packages, trade fairs, and C-level meetings.
Drive event success by achieving defined KPIs such as generating new contacts and business opportunities.
Collaborate closely with marketing (content, digital, operations, press), sales teams, and subject matter experts.
Manage external agencies and service providers.
Integrate events with other marketing disciplines by ensuring relevant content and digital support are in place.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders via internal and external channels.
Conduct event reporting, gather participant feedback, and analyze outcomes to continuously optimize event impact.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in marketing and communications with a focus on event management.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to stay calm and maintain oversight under pressure.
Affinity for and understanding of technology and IT services (experience in IT environments is a plus).
Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
Very good MS Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
Independent, solution-oriented, and structured working style.
Flexible, open-minded, and eager to embrace new topics and change.
Creativity, enthusiasm, and a strong drive to contribute fresh ideas and impulses.
Strong team spirit, reliability, and high commitment.
Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.
Completed studies in media and communication management, business administration, or economics (optional).
