Its primary focus is delivering high-quality solutions in the DACH region. With a commitment to excellence, LITIT combines the best of German precision, Japanese work ethics, and Lithuanian talent to provide unparalleled IT service and support to its clients.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry, recognized for innovation, precision, and technological excellence. The ongoing program supports their production planning systems, which have been continuously developed and modernized over several years.
The current phase focuses on transforming a complex monolithic solution into a modern microservices-based architecture, entirely hosted on AWS Cloud and leveraging containerized, cloud-native technologies.
The environment is agile, technical, and delivery-focused, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work on a critical, high-impact enterprise system.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will lead a small, autonomous backend team responsible for designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native microservices. You will work closely with architects, product owners, and other development teams to ensure the solution’s performance, reliability, and maintainability.
You will also represent the team in client-facing meetings, refinements, and technical presentations, while guiding team members in best engineering practices. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical depth with team management and client interaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project standards.
Design, implement, and deploy microservices using Payara 6 (Jakarta EE), Quarkus, and related frameworks.
Develop REST APIs and ensure optimized transactional data access and caching mechanisms.
Drive the migration and refactoring of existing monolithic applications into microservices.
Manage deployments and operations in AWS, including services such as Fargate, CloudWatch, VPC, Route53, Secrets Manager, Lambda, and RDS.
Utilize Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, Helm, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD and orchestration.
Ensure code quality through JUnit, Mockito, and SonarQube, following GitFlow practices.
Collaborate with multiple teams (front-end, backend, DevOps) and participate in sprint planning and refinement sessions.
Engage directly with client stakeholders, present solutions, and support decision-making processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
6+ years of software development experience, with at least 1–2 years in a technical leadership capacity.
